Prs Serial Number Handwritten
Jul 14, 2011 PRS American made guitar serial number question. So I put it on eBay. A guy bought it for $1000 then asked to see a photo of the serial. It is a stamped serial. He said American made PRS guitars have a hand written serial number. I have never seen a factory PRS with Grover tuners. The serial number does look wrong. $700 for a Standard. All guitars and basses have serial numbers which start with a year prefix. The prefix is the last one or two digits of the production year, and it applies to all models.
