His receptionist is a sweetheart who chatted and laughed with me before my first visit, making me feel very relaxed and welcome. The office is lovely and clean. During my time with Dr. Z he took his time to really listen and evaluate me. My prescriptions were ready immediately, and they have a very open and flexible schedule for follow-up appointments in as little time as a week-2 weeks away.

I really enjoyed my experience with Dr. Z, and I feel I have finally found a psych in the city that I am satisfied with.

Waited over 45 minutes for my appointment. Absolute worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. Download free software data structures in c gs baluja pdf. The receptionist loudly yelled across the room about what prescription I was coming in for. I went in to see the doctor and he read the stats of another patient because he brought in someone else’s file. I told him I was trying to cut back on my ADD medication and he berated me telling me I needed to take MORE meds and tried to convince me to switch to another mediation (that he had posters of all over his office so was basically being paid to push). He argued with me when I said I didn’t want to (I only went to him because my dr was away for a month) and wouldn’t give me my full prescription and said I would have to come back in a two weeks, likely so he could get an additional payment. He is unprofessional and incredibly rude.

This is one of the most unprofessional doctors that I have ever seen in my life. Back in October of 2017 I was attacked in Chelsea, NY and am still suffering from PTSD. I was originally seeing a psychologist and while she was very nice I felt that I needed to make an appointment with a psychiatrist who actually treats PTSD. I thought that Doctor Z. Would be a great fit but BOY WAS I WRONG. Not only did he dismiss my incident and feelings of anxiety, dealing with every day life and the fear or going back to work; he quickly decided to prescribe meds for me after 15 mins of speaking.

The receptionist however, was very sweet and the wait time was fine however I will NEVER return back to this doctor again. I've been seeing Dr. Z since March and making the appointment was one of my best decisions of 2016, I originally made an appointment through ZocDoc, but needed to see him earlier. His office squeezed me in that same day because they knew it was urgent. I immediately felt at ease and that i was in good hands. He is easy to speak to and takes a really rational approach to his practice. His wife works with him and is so nice and really easy to talk while you wait.

Would recommend to anyone! Very frustrating experience. He just pushes prescriptions.

He doesn't talk with you much at all. Each appointment is roughly 3-5 minutes in length. Almost no discussion of underlying issues. Each appointment is just an excuse to give you more meds.

The prescriptions are for 2 weeks at a time, so you have to keep going back. It's a hassle to go to the doctor 2x a month, especially when there's no real therapy, it's just that you have to stop by to pick up another two-week prescription.

I wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone ever. Proper and thorough psychiatry treatment is expensive and is very sad that not everyone can have access to it. This Doctor even though he accepts insurances, it doesn't mean that you'll receive the adequate treatment you need to improve any condition. He basically sees around 5 patients in 30minutes. That right there tells you he is not getting a proper gathering of information.
